My mother, Sara Aglamaz was born in 1918 in Bursa, Turkey, to Kadem and Salamon Benardete. She had three brothers (Mair, Nisim and Yosef) and four sisters (Roza, Vito, Korin and Inez).

Year: 1935 or 1936

She married my father, Yehuda Arav Aglamaz on December 20, 1936. The wedding was in Ankara. Their first residence was a room in the yard of my Grandpa's house, in the Jewish neighbourhood in Ankara.  Sometime later, my parents moved to another house, in Esen Sokak (street) in the same quarter.

My parents had four children: a baby who died a few days after birth, Ester, Aaron (I) and Flora. Ester, "Esterika", died at the age of two years.

Mom and Dad made Aliyah to Israel in 1964 and settled in Ezra Ubezaron (Ramat Eliyahu), Rishon Lezion.

My mother passed away on June 16, 1978, at Shmuel Harofeh hospital. Her grave is in Rishon Lezion, Gordon cemetery.
